Two channel audio in headphones with 3 photos of suitcases printed directly on 10mm pvc plates.
1:05 min looped. 2017
The sound of a rolling suitcase begins in the left ear and is slowed down enough to become a deep and powerful rumble. As it moves towards the other ear it speeds up, and when it reaches it it has become very fast and high. It then travels back to the left ear, and this movement is looped endlessly. The travel back and forth takes about one minute.
Accompanying the sound there are photographs of three different suitcases, made from a direct frontal angle. The objects fill the field of the photograph as much as possible, and the background is cut away.
The height of the photographs is the original height of the suitcases, but the length was either shortened or lengthened to 30 cm, 150 cm and 200 cm.
The prints are made directly on white 10mm pvc plates.
